Analog Bass Vol. 2



A complete bass sound set focused entirely on the classic KORG MS-20 synthesizer. Includes over 250MB of high quality analog sounds.

The MS-20 was one of Korg's first major successful portable analog monosynths and even today it is still a great little machine! The MS-20 is the big brother to the MS-10. It is an analog two-oscillator monophonic lead and bass synth with hard wired and patchable connections. In addition to two analog oscillators, the MS-20 featured two resonant VCF filters, two VCAs, sample and hold, a noise generator, an assignable mod-wheel and lots of knobs! The VCF filter section is capable of high-pass, low-pass, notch and band-reject which is unique and different than your basic lowpass style filter.

The crew at Puremagnetik have extracted this collection of sound programs from the internal synthesizer of a classic NES console. So grab your MIDI controller and get ready for some 80's nostalgia and video game sounds!

8-bit Nostalgia

Lo-fi video game sounds have recently seen a revival across many musical genres. Now you too can harness the true 8-bit sound of these legendary 80's sound chips! The crew at Puremagnetik have extracted this collection of sound programs from the internal synthesizer of a classic NES console. So grab your MIDI controller and get ready for some 80's nostalgia and (not so pretty) video game sounds with Punchpak!

The NES board supported a total of five sound channels. These included two pulse waveduty cycle (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%), with a volume control of sixteen levels, and hardware pitch bending supporting frequencies ranging from 54 Hz to 28 kHz. Additional channels included one fixed-volume triangle wave channel supporting frequencies from 27 Hz to 56 kHz, one sixteen-volume level white noise channel supporting two modes (by adjusting inputs on a linear feedback shift register) at sixteen pre-programmed frequencies, and one delta pulse-width modulation channel with six bits of range, using 1-bit delta encoding at sixteen preprogrammed sample rates from 4.2 kHz to 33.5 kHz, often resulting in poor sound quality. This final channel was also capable of playing standard pulse-hide modulation (PCM) sound by writing individual 7-bit values at timed intervals.

Vintage Organs Volume 1 is the first in a series of unique organ Micropaks. This collection includes 2 classic Ace Tone models - the GT7 (pictured below) and the Phenix Top-4 portable organ.

Puremagnetik's team of sound designers have meticulously assembled these two instruments with all of the bells and whistles of the originals. Complete with drawbar controls (Kontakt and Live versions only), bass pedals, and simulated speaker effects, Vintage Organs Volume 1 is guaranteed to get that time-honored funkiness into your session!

Customized for Ableton Live, Kontakt & Logic

Vintage Organs Volume 1 comes packed with over 500 high quality multisamples programmed into 6 unique organ instruments.

The Ableton Live and Kontakt versions of Vintage Organs Volume 1 includes six instruments with authentically programmed drawbar controls for overtone tweaking and sound manipulation. The Kontakt version comes pre-programmed with a custom KSP user interface for easy editing. The Ableton Live version includes 6 advanced racks with multiple Macro mappings  for incredibly realistic on-the-fly organ jamming.

Additionally, the Ableton Live version includes the "Laslo" speaker effect. This device is meant to emulate the original Leslie rotating loudspeaker, which has been an integral element in organ amplification ever since the late 1950s. Puremagnetik has designed the Laslo speaker to be flexible and musical while preserving the basic controls from the original device.

Phazeform Vol.1



A captivating library of instruments and phrases based on Casio's Phase Distortion technology of the CZ-1. Additionally, Phazeform includes a collection of looped phrases from the SK-1 and VL-Tone classics.

The mothership of Casio synthesis, the CZ-1 was a remarkable piece of technology in its day, emulated by other leading synthesizer manufacturers. Casio's CZ line of Phase Distortion synthesizers are incredibly unique devices that used digital synthesis without a filter as opposed to traditional analog subtractive synthesis with a filter. The CZ line used phase distortion to somewhat simulate an analog filter, it had in total eight different waveforms: as well as the standard sawtooth, square, and pulse waveforms, it had a special double sine waveform, a half-sine waveform, and three waveforms with simulated filter resonance: resonant sawtooth, triangle, and trapezoidal waveforms.
 
VL-TONE

The VL-Tone hybrid calculator/synthesizer, has a warm place in the hearts of many with its simple electronic sounds, factory rhythms and built-in speaker. Despite having few synthesis options the VL-Tone has a single note sequencer (fun!), an LFO and ADSR generator. Nevertheless the VL-Tone is a unique little creature that has found its way onto many famous recordings.
